New Chief Investigator and study team for UK-PSC

UK PSC has a new Chief Investigator. Dr Gideon Hirschfield successfully bid for the NIHR Rare Disease funding and is now leading the study. He is based at the NIHR Centre for Liver Research, University of Birmingham.  A consultant Hepatologist and researcher, Dr Hirschfield focuses on identifying and implementing effective, personalised therapies for patients with immune-mediated liver diseases.

We also have a Project Manager, Bridget Bell (B.F.Bell@bham.ac.uk), based in the Institute of Translational Medicine, University of Birmingham.

Following Kelly Spiess’s departure, a new Study Administrator, Claire Barrett (clb200@medschl.cam.ac.uk, tel: 01223 746771), has also been appointed, based at the Department of Medical Genetics, University of Cambridge.
